Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2, 2026 · Version 1.0
AlwaysFound ("the Service") is operated by Digital Views ("we," "us," "our"). This policy describes what information we collect when you use the Service and our website at alwaysfound.app, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service helps local businesses monitor and improve their visibility on Google, including their Google Business Profile, local search rankings, and customer reviews.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, business name, business location, and password (stored in hashed form).
Google Business Profile data. If you connect your Google Business Profile, we access — with your explicit authorization via Google's OAuth consent process — your business profile details, customer reviews, business posts, and related profile metrics.
Search ranking and competitor data. We collect publicly available local search results, including your business's rankings for selected keywords across geographic points near your location, and comparable public information about nearby competing businesses.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we retain only the subscription status, plan tier, and billing history needed to operate your account.
Usage information. We collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken in the Service, used for security and to improve the product.
2. Google User Data — Limited Use Disclosure
AlwaysFound's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically: we access your Google Business Profile data only to provide the monitoring, reporting, and (if enabled by you) publishing features you request. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. Human access to this data is limited to cases where you grant permission for support, where required for security or legal compliance, or where the data is aggregated and anonymized.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service: rank monitoring, review monitoring, reports, alerts, and profile publishing you configure
- To generate periodic reports delivered to your email
- To send service notifications (e.g., ranking changes, new reviews) via email or SMS where you have opted in
- To process billing and manage your subscription
- To secure, maintain, and improve the Service
4. Email and SMS Communications
With your consent, we send transactional and service messages by email and SMS (for example, bad-review alerts or ranking changes). Message frequency varies by your alert settings. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. You can manage email preferences from your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of purchase. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
If you use the Service's review-request features to contact your own customers, you are responsible for having obtained appropriate consent from those customers.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, currently including: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel and Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), Stripe (payments), our local-search data provider (rank and competitor scans), and our messaging provider (email/SMS delivery). We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer, in which case we will notify you.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. If you cancel, we delete or anonymize your personal data and Google user data within 90 days, except records we must keep for legal, billing, or security purposes. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
You can revoke the Service's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Upon revocation, we stop syncing your Google Business Profile data and delete stored Google user data within 30 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and tenant isolation at the database level. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version at this URL with a revised effective date, and for material changes we will notify account holders by email.
